Job Description

What are the specifics of the role?

Reporting to the ICT Program Management Lead, the Business Analyst is integral in achieving ICT results which are aligned with the organization’s vision and strategic goals.  Working closely with Project Teams this role is responsible for the business analysis function and delivering solutions at pace, therefore 7 years+ BA experience is essential. 

This role comprises 80% business analysis and 20% project management activities and requires a mastery proficiency in innovation and continuous improvements, plus excellent service delivery, collaboration and co-ordination capabilities. 

This fixed term contract until April 2027 (potential for ongoing permanent employment) will form an integral part of the delivery of Windermere’s digital strategy and enterprise ICT investment and uplift.  

The ICT Team is small, welcoming and committed and the right candidate will have a desire to roll up their sleeves and join Windermere at an exciting time, as we mature the digital landscape!  

The salary range starts at $121,700 per annum plus super. As Windermere is a not-for-profit organisation, employees are able to claim everyday living expenses up to $15,900 against their annual Pre-Tax Salary.  

E.g. At $121,700 per annum, the fortnightly take-home salary without salary packaging is $3,537 however, if you maximise salary packaging this will be $3,727 (this is the equivalent comparative salary in the job market to $129,000 pa)

Desired Skills and Experience

What behaviours are we seeking for this role?

We are seeking a Business Analyst that commits to meeting goals consistently and efficiently and enjoys detailed work.  Someone that is highly cooperative and supportive and adapts to working within established guidelines.  It is a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going simultaneously, therefore, prioritisation and agility are critical skills along with stakeholder management.  

The right candidate will be passionate about community services and improving the consumer experience, skilled in requirements gathering in a succinct and presentable way, and confident supporting innovative and creative idea generation.  They will be experts at mapping current state and future state and influencing attitudes and results.  As we are a small team, a willingness to conduct QA and User Acceptance Testing and contribute to end user documentation and training are also essential. 

Key Selection Criteria
•    Bachelor’s degree in business systems or information systems (Mandatory)  
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with certifications in Lean and Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (desirable).   
•    7+ years of demonstrated, applied technology-focused business analyst experience with track record of deliveries in fast paced environments 
•    Experience delivering CRM (Salesforce), ERP and Website projects is highly desirable
•    Knowledge and expertise in the use of business analysis methodologies and tools ideally from BABOK.  Certifications in IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysts) preferred  
•    Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, system documentation, business systems development, Quality Assurance Testing, preparing and conducting User Acceptance Tests, training material preparation and conducting user training is a must. 
•    Ability to work in multiple projects while managing competing priorities and effective time management. 
•    Excellent data analysis skills and high proficiency in MS Excel 
•    A strong understanding of technology platforms (e.g. Salesforce) and applications will be required 
•    Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision and the ability to make effective presentations.  Capabilities in change management is a plus 
•    Strong influencing and negotiation skills and experience in working with stakeholders to manage their expectations and engaging them to address solutions design  
•    Proficient in MS Visio, BPMN 2.0, MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint 
•    A working knowledge of project management with PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) such as CAPM and PMP but not compulsory.   
•    Working knowledge of Agile Scrum is added advantage but this is not a Scrum Master or a system developer role 
•    Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
•    Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence
•    Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks - including, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's check
•    Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa holder with full working rights
