Our Family Day Care Program is the leader in our region and has been in operation for over 21 years and was a Service Finalist in the TAS/VIC industry award in 2023.
What are the specifics of the role?
As a passionate and highly diligent early childhood professional, you will lead a small team of experienced Field Officers each supporting up to 25 Family Day Care Educators. You will oversee their day-to-day activities and provide individualised supervision and coaching.
You will be a fantastic communicator, with an excellent understanding of industry compliance, someone who is motivated to make new connections and grow our program. You will be passionate about the Family Day Care sector and high-quality education and care.
As an experienced and engaging people leader, you will encourage collaboration and innovation. You will drive the continual improvement of recruitment and onboarding activities.
Join our vibrant Family Day Care program in this strategic but hands-on role, working closely with the Team Leader and Manager of ECES and take your career to the next level.
This is a permanent part time role, 26.6 hours per week spread over 4 days (potential to increase as the program grows). Flexible work location, only Tuesday and Thursday in our Pakenham office, you choose your non-workday and work the remainder of the week from home and through field visits.
The base salary is $60,386 per year ($86,266 full time equivalent) plus a $5,000 annual bonus
As Windermere is a not-for-profit organisation, employees are able to claim everyday living expenses up to $15,900 against their annual Pre-Tax Salary. For example, Fortnightly base take-home salary without salary packaging is $1932 however, if you maximise salary packaging this will be $2,120 per fortnight – this does not include the $5,000 annual bonus.

Key Selection Criteria
- Above Award Personal Leave and 17.5% annual leave loading
- Gifted days off (between Christmas and New Year)

- Minimum of a Diploma of Children’s Services with 3 years supervisory experience in a role within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector
- Demonstrated experience in leading a cross functional team, and providing direction to process and systems changes and implementation
- Demonstrated experience in Family Day Care (Preferable)
- Demonstrated experience providing training opportunities
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring the National Quality Framework in early childhood services (preferably family day care)
- Demonstrated experience in working within the National Quality Framework and understanding across Family Day Care
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent self-initiative and drive to grow the program
- Ability to manage multiple complex demands and meet timelines
- Strong administrative skills including the use of all Microsoft programs
- Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
- Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence
- Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks - including, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's check
- Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights
