Windermere’s aim is to get in early to help children, families and individuals find the best solutions for their varied and complex issues. Support comes in many forms with a focus on intervention, prevention and education to make a difference in the areas of: 

Integrated Family Services, Health & Community Services, Victims Assistance Program, Early Childhood Education and Care Services, NDIS Services, Evidence Innovation & Practice, and Trauma and Recovery Services, to respond quickly to emergencies, disasters and emergent needs.

Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure and Security Manager, the Database Administrator is integral in achieving ICT results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. 

Responsible for handling our day-to day Salesforce admin functions, updating database structures, developing queries and reports, troubleshooting issues and supporting the ongoing development, therefore 3-5 years’ experience in Salesforce Administration is essential.

This newly created 1-year position (potential for ongoing permanent employment) will form an integral part of the delivery of Windermere’s digital strategy and enterprise ICT investment and uplift.

As an experienced Database Administrator you will join our Digital Transformation portfolio, led by a future-focused director with high impact multi-faceted results spanning a 25-year ICT career.  Your innovation, drive for continuous Improvement and excellent analytical skills will assist us to improve our current systems. 

On a daily basis you will engage with our internal customers to provide database support across multiple platforms including Salesforce.  You will work closely with the Systems Administrator and Desktop Engineer across all areas of data integration and improvements, application support and system integrations, solutions architecture, data security and governance.  You will also contribute to solutions testing, including designing and executing test scripts and scenarios, and provide user training to business users of our CRM or other databases.

You will be experienced in data migration and data clean up processes and confident developing ETL and data pipeline, automation workflows, visual flows and process builder, ensuring maximum up-time.

You will be highly cooperative and enjoy collaborating with business areas to understand their data management needs. You will have a high attention to detail and strong commitment to accuracy and completing tasks on time.  

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills are your key skills along with the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions. 

You will be a self-driven learner and have a willingness to stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in database management.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Degree qualifications in computer science, information technology or related fields
  • 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce Administration and other database administration roles, plus 2-3 years of other databases such as SQL, MS Access, Oracle.  MS Excel is a must.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification is compulsory.  Familiarity with both Classic & Lightning environments on Salesforce
  • High levels of experience with automation workflows, visual flows and process builder
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good overall understanding of IT service management principles and practices.  ITIL certifications well regarded
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills, with experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Experience in preparation and execution of test plans, test cases, ensuring alignment with business requirements
  • A proactive approach to staying updated with emerging technologies and best practices, including artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques and apps
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • Adaptive, ‘can do’ attitude, with a collaborative approach to working within a team and a passion for data-driven decision making
  • Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible
  • If shortlisted, candidates must submit a copy of qualifications and certifications for verification prior to interview
  • Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence
  • Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks - including Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's check
  • Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights
